I was raised on a dairy farm. That sound you hear is not straw crunching under your feet, but quite another substance squishing under your feet.
ReplyDeleteWhen I left the farm I swore to myself I would never in my life live with any critter larger than a beagle. I'm up to a dachshund.
We had livestock too ... I myself thought of the odors rather than the squishiness. :-D
